To be a full service Church, reaching all people, enhancing their quality of life by ministering to the needs of the whole person Body-Spirit-Soul!
It is now 2011, one hundred and forty-two years since our Church was founded. Why does it stand? First Baptist stands as a building, and as a living testimony, because of the men and women who attended through the years, together with us who attend today, still believe that Jesus Christ is the foundation of our salvation and our life. We are certain that each member who belongs to First Baptist Church is part of the family in Christ, and is proud of the historic past which our church has. We can sketch through our history the way God has led and guided His people to make the correct decisions when decisions had to be made, and to make the correct stand when a stand had to be made. When we pause to look back, let us remember that those people of old were people who were constantly marching forward in His footsteps. Our responsibility today is to carry on with the witness and testimony which was started in First Baptist in 1869. Reverend
